As a private investment firm with a mezzanine focus, their investments are in the form of subordinated debt with warrants; in select cases, investments may also include equity securities. Portfolio companies typically have enterprise values ranging from $20 to $100 million. BIA DP’s investments range from $4 to $12 million and up to $25 million when limited partners or other firms provide co-investments.
After fully investing their first fund of $88 million, BIA DP is now well into their second fund of $195 million, bringing total capital under management to $283 million.
